What is the difference between Balayage and foil highlights?
Balayage maintains a softer root while the hair progressively gets lighter throughout the ends and a foil highlight lightens the hair from root to end. Balayage requires less maintenance allowing the client to go months without touchups. The grow out with foil highlights will be more noticeable.
Which technique is best for me? Balayage or foil highlights?
It depends on the look that you want. During your consultation, Blanca can tell you exactly what is needed to obtain your desired look.
What is L’Oréal Professionnel Pro Fiber?
L’Oréal Professionnel Pro Fiber is a treatment for damaged hair due to chemical treatments, haircolor services, or the use of hairstyling tools. There are three levels of treatment: Revive, Restore, Recover. Blanca will evaluate your hair to determine which is best for you. She will then perform a treatment in the salon and you will then reactivate the treatment at home with the prescribed Pro Fiber haircare. This can prolong the results of the in-salon treatment for up to six weeks.
I want to get my hair cut and colored, which service is performed first?
If you plan to have a dramatic change in hairstyle, like going from long hair to very short hair, you will have your hair cut and styled first and then the color service with another finish out. If you are not making a huge change, your color service will be performed first.
Should I wash my hair before my color appointment?
No, it’s better for your hair to be unwashed for a few days before getting color services.
WHAT IS COLOR CORRECTION?
Color correction is the process in taking a client who has previously colored hair at least two levels lighter or taking previously colored or virgin hair at least two levels darker. The number of visits needed in order to achieve the desired look will depend on several factors: the current condition of the hair, the type of color previously used (box color will make this even more challenging), and the difference between the current color and the wanted color.
This is something that will be discussed thoroughly during the consultation.
